First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude and feel honored to have the opportunity to write an essay about my feelings with the title: "Great victory, great achievements of Vietnam during the 50-year journey of building and developing the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam" published in the People's Artist of Vietnam to celebrate the State visit to Laos, attend the 50th Anniversary of the National Day of Laos and co-chair the High-level Meeting between the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam by Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam from December 1-2, 2025.
Looking back in history, we clearly see that the birth of the Indochina Communist Party, founded by the great President Ho Chi Minh in 1930 and becoming the current Communist Party of Vietnam, is an important historical turning point that decides the fate of the people of the three Indochinese countries in general and the brotherly people of Vietnam in particular.
The Communist Party of Vietnam has led the Vietnamese people to make a glorious and miraculous feat in the struggle to save the country against French colonialism until the completion of the revolutionary cause to liberate the country and establish the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945 . Then, continue to liberate the South, unify the country in 1975 and change the country's name to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
After the country was liberated and completely unified, the Communist Party of Vietnam continued to be a strong core and led the Vietnamese people to carry out the renovation in 1986, opening a new era, the era of building and developing the country, opening the country, transforming from a low-cost economy to a market economy in the socialist direction, contributing to Vietnam's economy's continuous growth.
Going back in time since the founding of the country over the past 80 years, especially in the 40-year period of renovation, clearly recognizing that Vietnam has achieved great, comprehensive, and historic achievements, maintaining political stability, strong national defense and security, guaranteed social order and safety, rapid, sustainable and continuous economic growth, people's lives have been constantly improved, foreign relations and international integration continue to be expanded, the role and position of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam are increasingly prominent in regional and international forums.
Since implementing the renovation process, from a weak country, heavily affected by war and besieged, Vietnam has gradually become a developing country with average income. By 2024, it will become one of the 32 largest economies globally and one of the top 20 countries in attracting foreign trade and investment; the culture and society will develop with strong identity, becoming an important force for national development.
The highlight is that the Party and Government of Vietnam have paid attention to and strengthened comprehensive reform, decisions in resolving negative problems in State management have achieved many great achievements, supported by the people and praised by the international community.
With the determination to streamline the political apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner, it has become an important driving force in the country's management and operation to increasingly improve quality. Vietnam has made a breakthrough in modernization and digital transformation to create resilience and create a premise for steadily moving towards socialism.
The above achievements affirm the wise, correct and steadfast leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which is of the most important and profound significance to the cause of protecting and developing Vietnam, and at the same time is a valuable lesson, a great source of encouragement for the Party, State and people of Laos in carrying out the cause of innovation, protection and development of Laos in the new period.
I firmly believe that under the talented and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will successfully implement the Resolution at the end of the 13th term of the 13th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, towards the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, this is an important period to enter a new era, an era of development, prosperity and power of the country and the people of Vietnam, by 2030 to build Vietnam into a developing country, modern industry, high average income; by 2045, to build Vietnam into a developed country, high income, strong and modern economy and steadily move towards socialism, completing the goal of a rich, prosperous, democratic, fair and civilized country.
In addition to the great and comprehensive achievements of historical significance that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have achieved over the past 80 years, I am extremely proud to see that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, built by the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, who have loved and experienced the challenges of the revolutionary fire over the past decades, have become a pure, invaluable common relationship, a law of existence and development of the two countries, one of the decisive factors for the victory of each country's revolution as the immortal poem of the great President Ho Chi Minh once described the relationship between Laos and Vietnam: "The mountains are similar, the rivers are also similar, the rivers are also similar, the two countries are also more profound, the two countries are more profound, the two countries are also the same.
Today, the Laos - Vietnam relationship continues to be constantly cared for, nurtured, strengthened and developed in depth in all fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, demonstrated through increasingly close and trusting political relations, the two sides coordinate to effectively implement the Joint Statements and Agreement between the two Parties and the two States; improve the effectiveness of the Laos - Vietnam cooperation mechanisms; maintain visits and meetings between the two Parties and the two States' senior leaders in many forms, and exchange in-depth and comprehensive content.
Cooperation in defense, security and foreign affairs is increasingly close, effective, maintaining political stability and ensuring the security of each country.
In terms of economy, trade and investment, it continues to be interested in and promoted, with positive changes and increasingly improved the quality of cooperation.
Cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science - technology and other fields will continue to be valued, promoted and achieved many positive results.
On this important occasion, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, Government and people of Laos, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for their valuable, great, effective and timely support for the Lao revolutionary cause over the past time.
The Lao Party, State and people will continue to work with the Party, State and people of Vietnam to do their utmost to continue to preserve and promote this rare relationship that is always lasting and fruitful, for the common interests of the two countries as well as to contribute to the cause of building peace, stability and development cooperation in the region and the world.
Wishing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam to last forever.
