Recently, a number of police officers and soldiers have been bought, rented, or leased social housing in projects, contributing to solving the housing needs of officers and soldiers.
Faced with the urgent need for housing for officers and soldiers, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security are directing specialized agencies to synthesize and report on the development of housing projects for police officers and soldiers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security is developing a specific policy mechanism in developing social housing for police officers and soldiers (according to Decision No. 927/QD-TTg dated August 30, 2024 of the Prime Minister).
At the meeting, delegates discussed to propose practical and effective solutions to implement and develop housing projects for police officers and soldiers in the two cities.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc suggested that in the coming time, the parties will establish a Working Group including leaders of the Department of Construction Management and Shelters, Hanoi City Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police, departments and branches of the two cities to advise the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of the two cities on the field of housing management and development for police officers and soldiers.
Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will lead and direct the work of the Working Group.
For specific social housing projects, the Department of Construction Management and Shelters closely follow the departments and branches of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to deploy the work; coordinate with departments and branches to select the most favorable project for implementation.
In addition, the Logistics Department needs to closely coordinate with the city's departments and branches to implement the development of public housing for officers and soldiers.
