At this meeting, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy received Ms. Pham Thi Dien (residing at 390 Le Van Hien, Khue My ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city).
Citizen Pham Thi Dien stated that her family was subject to the clearance of the Khue My Market Quarter Project, but was not resettled and compensated at a price of 50,000 VND/m2.
According to Ms. Dien, her family of 7 is currently living on the reclaimed land and is facing economic difficulties. The compensation and clearance process has been negotiated by the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District, supporting part of the cost to hand over the site.
However, the support is not satisfactory, not enough for the family to relocate because the house foundation is in the reclaimed area, so more money is needed to hire workers and buy materials to rebuild the foundation to avoid landslides, causing the house to collapse during the rainy and stormy season. Therefore, she asked for additional support to relocate the house.
Ms. Dien's case was resolved by competent authorities and confirmed that, in general, the settlement of compensation and support policies for Ms. Dien's compensation clearance file was appropriate and in accordance with regulations. Now, Ms. Dien's request to consider supporting the cost of repairing her house after the clearance and recovery of part of the Khue My Market Technical Infrastructure Project has no basis for settlement.
At the citizen reception, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy said that recently, the Government Inspectorate and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities have proactively and actively implemented the online citizen reception model.
Da Nang City is one of the localities selected by the Government Inspectorate to periodically receive citizens online. The Government Inspectorate commended the seriousness and openness of the City People's Committee in arranging all participants to attend the regular citizen reception and preparing the transmission lines and equipment so that the reception could take place smoothly and effectively.
Regarding the case of Ms. Pham Thi Dien, according to Deputy Inspector General Duong Quoc Huy, this is a case that has lasted for many years, in which Ms. Pham Thi Dien is in a particularly difficult situation, a policy family, a child of a martyr, and the family has complied with the handover of the premises.
In order to have a direction to resolve the case, end the complaints, ensure the lives and rights of citizens according to the provisions of the law, and at the same time implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies always pay attention to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy requested the People's Committee of Da Nang City to direct the Department of Construction to submit to the People's Committee for approval to arrange an apartment for Ms. Dien's family.
Propose that the People's Committee of Da Nang City assign the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District to review and have a support plan for Ms. Dien's family so that the family has more funds to stabilize their lives.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy assigned the Central Citizen Reception Committee to coordinate with Department II and the Government Inspectorate to inspect, monitor and urge the settlement of citizens' complaints and recommendations according to regulations.
At the citizen reception, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Quang Nam affirmed that he would implement the recommendations of the Government Inspectorate and resolve the case before January 31, 2025.
