On July 27, the National Assembly Office said that Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and promulgated Resolution No. 11/2026/UBTVQH16 adjusting the 2026 Legislative Program.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to add to the 2026 Legislative Program, submit to the National Assembly for comments and approval at the second session (October 2026) for the following projects:
Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Children, Law on People with Disabilities, Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, Law on Pharmacy, Law on Population; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools, Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue according to simplified order and procedures.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also decided to adjust the name of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Donation, Extraction, and Transplantation of Human Organs and Parts and Donation, Extraction of Corpses into the draft Law on Donation, Extraction, and Transplantation of Human Organs and Parts and Donation, Extraction of Corpses (amended).
Adjusting the time to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and approval the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms from the first session (April 2026) to the second session (October 2026).
The National Assembly Standing Committee also assigned the submitting agency, the agency in charge of thẩm tra, to participate in thẩm tra and the progress of submitting to the National Assembly Standing Committee for comments on draft laws and resolutions of the National Assembly supplemented to the 2026 Legislative Program.
The draft laws include: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Children, the Law on People with Disabilities, the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, the Law on Pharmacy, the Law on Population; Law on Donation, Extraction, Transplantation of Human Organs and Funeral Donation and Extraction (amended).
Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools, Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue.
These draft laws will be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee at the September 2026 Session.
