According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, the socio-economic picture, national defense, security, foreign affairs and social security of the country in the first 6 months of the year achieved many positive results.
GDP growth is estimated to reach 8.18%, the highest in the past 15 years. This result has the important contribution of the National Assembly in removing institutional bottlenecks.
The National Assembly Chairwoman said that in the past, law-making work was still done in the traditional way, but from recent sessions, the National Assembly has had many innovations in thinking and working methods.
At the same time, promote the application of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in law-making, thereby contributing to improving the speed of work processing, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and meeting practical requirements.
Besides the achieved results, agencies must look directly at the remaining issues to continue to improve. The current bottleneck is no longer mainly in the policy, but in the quality of organization and implementation.
Regarding key tasks in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman requested to continue to take perfecting institutions as the number 1 key task of the National Assembly; focus on preparing well the contents to submit to the First Extraordinary Session and the Regular Session at the end of the year...
Continue to strongly innovate supervisory activities and decide on important issues of the country. Supervision must go into substance, follow to the end the implementation of conclusions and recommendations; strengthen post-inspection, inventory and clarify responsibilities.
Continue to improve the quality of advice and innovate working methods. Each agency must strongly shift from work processing thinking to solution-creating thinking; from response to proactiveness.
Along with that, it is necessary to continue to tighten discipline and order, and improve the responsibility of heads. All tasks must be implemented according to the principle of clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear progress, clear products and clear results.
In addition, it is necessary to continue to improve the quality of advice, appraisal and supervision. Each appraisal report must truly have political opinions, feedback, and clear recommendations; each supervision must create substantive changes in implementation organization; each draft law must contribute to removing at least one bottleneck in practice.

The National Assembly Chairwoman especially emphasized the role of the head of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly's Committees, and the National Assembly Office. The head must be the center of solidarity, the nucleus of innovation, and the person with the highest responsibility for the quality, progress, and efficiency of their agency's work.
For each full-time National Assembly deputy, the National Assembly Chairman proposed to clearly see their great responsibility in the 16th National Assembly term; National Assembly deputies must be exemplary, pioneering, and taking the lead in performing their duties.
What I am concerned about is not that agencies do more work, but that they do it more correctly, faster, more effectively and create more value for the National Assembly, for society..." - National Assembly Chairman shared.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested each official, before each decision and each task, to always ask themselves three questions: Is the policy correct? Has it brought the highest value? Has it fulfilled its responsibilities?.
If everyone can answer those three questions with specific actions and results, the quality of the National Assembly's activities will certainly have a stronger shift," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
