In the afternoon of July 31, in Hanoi, General Secretary, President To Lam, Commander of the Armed Forces, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council chaired the ceremony to award the Decision to promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to Vietnamese People's Police officers.
Also attending were General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, Minister of Public Security.
At the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam awarded the Decision to promote the rank from Lieutenant General to Senior General to Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Hong Duc.
According to VNA, awarding the decision and delivering a speech assigning tasks at the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that the decision to promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to comrade Dang Hong Duc shows the deep trust and concern of the Party, State and people for the armed forces; at the same time, it is a recognition and appreciation of the comrade's important contributions to the cause of building and developing the People's Police as well as the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
General Secretary and President believes that Senior Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc will promote the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Police, maintain revolutionary ethical qualities, and be worthy of being a talented and exemplary commander; continue to advise the Party and State and monitor, guide, and urge all levels, sectors, Party committees, and local authorities to effectively implement Central Resolutions, especially Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW on "National Security Strategy".
Speaking to receive the assignment, Senior Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc expressed his deep gratitude to the Party and State leaders who have always paid attention; ministries, departments, central agencies, cadres and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces who have always been interested in accompanying, supporting, and creating favorable conditions in performing tasks throughout the past time.
Senior Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc affirmed that he will continue to thoroughly and seriously implement the directions and assignments of the General Secretary and President; always be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the people, to the Party and the State; steadfast in the goals and ideals of the Party; strictly implement the regulations of the People's Police; make efforts and high determination to excellently complete the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security and people.
Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc was born on April 16, 1977. Hometown: Ninh Binh province. He has professional qualifications: Master of Law; University of Security.
During his work process, Mr. Dang Hong Duc has held many different positions such as: Deputy Head of Department, Department of Political Protection V (formerly General Department of Security), Ministry of Public Security; Deputy Head of Department then Head of Department, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security leadership; Deputy Director then Director, Secretary of the Minister of Public Security; Director, Secretary of the President; Assistant to the President; Deputy Commander of the Guard Command, Ministry of Public Security; Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police.
Before holding the position of Member of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Dang Hong Duc held the position of Chief of Office of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security.
