On November 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam to the position of General Director of Vietnam Television.
According to Decision No. 1311/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications - to hold the position of General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV). The term of appointment is 5 years.
The decision takes effect from November 1, 2024.
Before holding the position of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam worked for many years at Vietnam Television, holding the positions of General Director of VTC Digital Television Station, Director of the Department of Radio and Television, and Director of the Department of Press.
On the morning of October 31, at the headquarters of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission - on behalf of the Politburo chaired the Conference to announce and present the Politburo's decision on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Party Central Committee member, Party Secretary, General Director of Vietnam Television - to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
