Bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Israel has continuously increased in recent times

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung highly appreciated the continuous increase in two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Israel in recent times.

On the afternoon of August 12, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer to say goodbye on the occasion of the end of his term of office in Vietnam.

Congratulating Ambassador Yaron Mayer on successfully completing his term of office in Vietnam, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung highly appreciated the 4-year term of the Ambassador, the friendly and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Israel has achieved many positive developments, notably the signing of the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) and the Israeli airline opening a direct Hanoi-Tel Aviv route, creating an important foundation to further improve the effectiveness of economic, trade, investment, tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The Prime Minister also highly appreciated the continuous increase in two-way trade turnover in recent times, of which in 2025 it reached 3.63 billion USD, an increase of nearly 12% compared to 2024; at the same time, emphasized that the relationship between the two countries still has much room for cooperation, especially in the fields of science and technology, innovation, smart agriculture, and circular economy.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister requested the Government of Israel to continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Israel. The Prime Minister wished that in the coming time, in any position, the Ambassador would continue to support and contribute to consolidating the friendly and multifaceted cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Israel.

Sincerely thanking the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him, Ambassador Yaron Mayer expressed deep feelings for the country and people of Vietnam; affirming that Israel wishes to further promote cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of innovation, high-tech agriculture, and energy.

Ambassador Yaron Mayer thanked the Government and ministries and sectors of Vietnam for their support and close coordination with Israeli agencies in expanding and deepening cooperation activities between the two countries; emphasizing that Vietnam and Israel still have a lot of potential to promote cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. The Ambassador affirmed that he will preserve good memories of Vietnam and will continue to contribute to promoting relations between the two countries.
