Gia Lai - The Prime Minister inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of the storm, shared the difficulties with people and businesses that suffered heavy damage after the storm.

On the morning of November 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central working delegation inspected the situation of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13 in De Gi commune (Gia Lai province), and at the same time encouraged and presented gifts to households whose houses were severely damaged.

In De Gi commune, storm No. 13 caused serious damage with 10 houses completely collapsed, 200 houses had their roofs blown off over 70%, 432 houses had their roofs blown off from 3070%, 525 houses had their roofs blown off under 30%, along with many damages to ships, cages for aquaculture and essential infrastructure... The total estimated damage is more than 231 billion VND.

Visiting 26 households affected by high tides in An Quang Dong village, the Prime Minister welcomed the spirit of strict compliance with the storm prevention instructions of local Party committees and authorities, quickly evacuating to safe shelters, ensuring safety of life before natural disasters.

"Do you have a shortage of rice, food, and clothing? Is there electricity, water, and medicine? ", the Prime Minister kindly asked the people.

After grasping the food and living situation of the people before, during and after storm No. 13, the Prime Minister commended the spirit of solidarity of the people, together overcoming difficulties after the storm so that no one was hungry or hungry.

"Whoever loses their house will build a house, the state will support the people. Those who have damaged houses must declare to support. For this reason, people have to move to resettlement areas, not stay in dangerous areas to stabilize their lives," said the Prime Minister.

Along with supporting housing, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also noted the need to soon restore production. He emphasized that the state will also have a policy to support preferential loans, debt extension, debt suspension for people as well as support cages, seeds, feed... to create the best conditions for people to restore production, raise livestock, create jobs, livelihoods, and soon stabilize their lives.

When inspecting the new resettlement area in An Quang, the Prime Minister requested the local Party committees and authorities of Gia Lai province to focus on completing basic infrastructure such as roads, electricity, water, etc., and building houses for households to soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented gifts to 26 households affected by high tides.

Do not let businesses break the production chain after the storm

Also on the same morning, the Prime Minister and the working delegation inspected the damage caused by storm No. 13 in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, visited a number of enterprises including Fago Livestock Food Company, HD Nhon Hoi Company and Tan Dai Hung General Joint Stock Company Limited.

At the enterprises, the Prime Minister sent words of encouragement and sharing to enterprises in the face of heavy property damage caused by the storm. He emphasized that this is an important time to mobilize maximum forces to support businesses in cleaning up the scene, repairing factories, and soon restoring production.

We must be determined and make the highest efforts so that businesses do not break their production and supply chains to keep orders and gain reputation with customers. Thereby, helping businesses to soon stabilize their business, create jobs and stable income for local people.

"The government will have preferential packages for low interest rates, debt extension, and debt suspension for businesses that suffered heavy damage due to the storm. At the same time, it is recommended that the Ministry of Finance study tax reduction packages, fees and charges for businesses, helping units overcome the difficult period," the Prime Minister emphasized.
