In the afternoon of March 1st, a Government working delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to the field, inspecting the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh component project under the North - South Expressway construction project in the East phase 2021 - 2025 (section passing through Dak Lak province).
The delegation included Mr. Tran Hong Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction, along with leaders of departments, ministries, branches and related units.
On the side of Dak Lak province, there were Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, agencies, and sectors.
Reporting to the working delegation, representatives of Project Management Board 85 said that the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh component project has a length of 61.7km, with a total investment of more than 14,802 billion VND.
In which, the section through Dak Lak province is more than 42km long, passing through 4 communes: Xuan Loc, Xuan Tho, Xuan Canh and Tuy An Bac.
The project is invested by Project Management Board 85, started on January 1, 2023. Currently, the project is entering the final sprint phase, striving to complete and put into operation in March 2026.
On the route, there are 32 main bridges, 4 direct overpasses, 5 bridges belonging to intersections and 1 575m long tunnel; along with 4 intersections connecting to National Highway 1A, National Highway 19C and DT 644.
When completed, the expressway will contribute to completing the North-South expressway axis in the East, strengthening the connection of the South Central Coast region with the Central Highlands, shortening travel time, creating motivation for socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the region.
Accumulated output of the entire project reached more than 10,096/10,571 billion VND, equivalent to 96% of the value of signed contracts.

At the inspection, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and drastic involvement of central ministries and sectors, investors, construction units and localities with projects passing through.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the efforts to proactively coordinate and promptly remove difficulties in site clearance, materials and construction organization of Dak Lak province, helping the implemented volume reach a high level, approaching completion.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the North-South Expressway in the East is an important strategic infrastructure project, contributing to strengthening regional connectivity, expanding development space and creating new growth momentum for localities.
The investor and contractors need to continue to focus maximum manpower and equipment, organize'3 shifts, 4 teams' construction, take advantage of favorable weather conditions to completely complete the remaining items; absolutely do not be subjective when the project has achieved a high completion rate.
The goal is to complete the entire project and put it into operation in March 2026" - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested.
