On the morning of March 1st, the 120th anniversary of the birth of former Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was solemnly held in Mo Duc commune.

As an excellent student and close associate of President Ho Chi Minh, the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong left a deep mark in the nation's history. The legacy left by the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong is a powerful internal resource, illuminating the journey of realizing strategic resolutions to build a strong, civilized and happy Vietnam.

The late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was born into an intellectual family in Duc Tan commune, Mo Duc district, now Mo Duc commune, Quang Ngai province. Early awakened to revolutionary ideals and actively participating in patriotic movements of students, comrade showed special political sensitivity.
Recognizing that potential, the organization trusted and sent comrades to attend a cadre training class in Guangzhou (China), under the direct guidance of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and the General Department of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League. This event marked an important turning point in the revolutionary life of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.
In his position as Deputy Prime Minister and then Prime Minister during the two resistance wars, the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong always focused on building a streamlined, inexpensive, and efficient state apparatus. From there, developing economy, culture, education, health, taking care of people's lives and mobilizing resources for the resistance war to build a nation.
In more than 30 years in the position of head of the Government, former Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and the Central Party Committee led the resistance war, national construction, building socialist North Vietnam, and being a solid rear for the southern front.
Having gone through 94 years (1906 - 2000), the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong had 75 years of continuous revolutionary activities, 41 years as a member of the Party Central Committee, 35 years as a member of the Politburo, 32 years as Prime Minister, 10 years as Advisor to the Central Executive Committee. These figures not only reflect a rare depth of contribution, but also a vivid proof of the talent, bravery and great prestige of the predecessor leader.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the anniversary is an opportunity for us to review the life and glorious career of Comrade Pham Van Dong. Thereby, expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building the country along the socialist path.

The life and career of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong is a bright example of loyalty to the Party, filial piety to the people and noble personality. He left valuable lessons about revolutionary morality "need, thrift, integrity, righteousness"; profound cultural thinking, resilient and flexible foreign policy style and love for people.
During his lifetime, the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong instructed cadres and party members in the province what to do and how to achieve high economic efficiency, to bring the province to rise out of a poor province, life needs new things, cadres must innovate their thinking and working methods to suit reality and the people's innovative thinking... That advice, to this day, still retains its value and becomes a guiding principle for our actions" - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested that the Party Committee, army and people of Quang Ngai province continue to promote the tradition of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong's homeland, build Quang Ngai homeland to become increasingly rich and strong, and actively contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland with the whole country.
