Prime Minister Le Minh Hung calls on Korean businesses to expand investment in Vietnam

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed to promote Korean businesses to continue new investment and expand investment scale in Vietnam.

On June 29, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young Sam to say goodbye at the end of his term of office in Vietnam.

At the reception, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung congratulated the Ambassador on his very successful term in Vietnam and highly appreciated Ambassador Choi Young Sam's positive contributions to promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to become increasingly in-depth, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung believes that the solid foundation of relations between the two countries in the past time will be the basis for the two sides to continue to expand cooperation in various fields in the coming time; proposed that the two sides continue to promote high-level and all-level delegation exchanges; expand defense and security cooperation; focus on completing the target of bilateral trade turnover reaching 100 billion USD in 2026 and towards the target of 150 billion USD by 2030 in a balanced and sustainable direction; promote Korean businesses to continue to invest newly and expand investment scale in Vietnam, especially in the fields of manufacturing high-tech electronic equipment, semiconductors, renewable energy, urban railways, and smart cities.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create all favorable conditions for foreign businesses, including Korean businesses, to feel secure in investing stably and long-term in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that the two sides strengthen cultural cooperation and support Vietnam in developing the cultural industry; expand the field of people-to-people exchanges by increasing quotas and industries that receive Vietnamese workers that Korea needs such as information technology, services, nursing, shipbuilding; strengthen cooperation between localities, thereby promoting economic development and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam affirmed that South Korea always values and wishes to promote the relationship between the two countries to develop more strongly, especially in new fields where South Korea has strengths and Vietnam has needs such as science and technology, semiconductor, renewable energy, LNG gas power, artificial intelligence, infrastructure; emphasized that South Korea is always a reliable partner and a companion to Vietnam in implementing Vietnam's development goals to 2030 and 2045.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam wished Vietnam to continue to pay attention, support and create favorable conditions for Korean businesses and citizens to feel secure in investing and living stably and long-term in Vietnam.

On this occasion, Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of the Party, State, Government and relevant ministries and sectors of Vietnam for their concern and support in helping the Ambassador successfully complete his term of office in Vietnam; affirmed that he will continue to make every effort to nurture the cooperative relationship between the two countries, making practical contributions to promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to become increasingly strong, substantive and comprehensive in the coming time.
