Vietnam - Korea expand cooperation to AI, digital transformation and science and technology

Economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Korea is developing substantially, expanding to the fields of science and technology, digital transformation and AI.

On June 18, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young Sam to say goodbye at the end of his term of office in Vietnam.

At the reception, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the Ambassador on excellently completing his term and highly appreciated the Ambassador's important contributions to promoting cooperative relations between the two countries, including cooperation between the National Assemblies and peoples of the two countries, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

During the period of Ambassador Choi Young Sam's work in Vietnam, relations between the two countries have achieved many important achievements, especially parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies have had new developments.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that Vietnam values relations with Korea and wishes to promote relations between the two countries to continue to develop strongly and more substantively; wishes the two sides to continue to promote cooperation between specialized committees, group of friendly parliamentarians, group of female parliamentarians of the National Assembly; promote the role of the National Assemblies of the two countries in promoting the realization of commitments, agreements, projects, and large-scale cooperation programs between the two countries; strengthen coordination and exchange of information on parliamentary activities of each country.

Vietnam will create a transparent and favorable legal environment for foreign investors, including Korean businesses, to feel secure in investing stably and long-term in Vietnam, and will continue to pay attention, support and create all favorable conditions for the Korean community in Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his belief that Ambassador Choi Young Sam will continue to make many contributions to promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries to develop more substantially, effectively and comprehensively in the coming time.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed his pleasure and honor in his term of office for making many contributions to promoting the development of the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, in which high-level and high-level delegation exchanges take place regularly; economic, trade and investment cooperation is substantial not only in traditional fields but also expands to new fields of cooperation in science and technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI).

Ambassador Choi Young Sam affirmed that, in any position, he will continue to apply his experience and work experience in Vietnam to nurture the relationship between the two countries in general and between the National Assemblies of the two countries in particular to develop more and more, making practical contributions to maintaining a peaceful, stable, cooperative and developing environment in the region and in the world.
