According to VNA, speaking at the meeting, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his respectful greetings, warm regards, and best wishes from General Secretary To Lam and Party and State leaders to the people; expressed his joy that the Vietnamese community in China is increasingly growing and maturing with more than 100,000 people, including more than 23,000 students, university students, and graduate students.
Sharing more about the content and results of this working trip to China, the Prime Minister said that this is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has been invited by host China and the World Economic Forum to attend the forum of "pioneers" in China. This affirms China's attachment to the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership, the international community's appreciation of Vietnam's development achievements, strategic development orientations as well as the increasingly high stature, potential, position and international prestige of Vietnam.
The Prime Minister stated that Vietnam always considers developing friendly relations with China as an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority in the overall foreign policy. On the other hand, China has achieved many important achievements in the cause of national construction and development, promoting its leading role in many fields, with many important lessons that Vietnam can research, refer to and learn.
The Prime Minister affirmed the policy of the Party and State to always consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community. The Party and State always clearly identify the responsibility of caring for the overseas Vietnamese community, supporting people with solid legal status, integrating into the local society; encouraging and creating conditions for people to be more attached to their homeland. Recently, the leaders of the Party and State have received many opinions and proposals from overseas Vietnamese related to regulations on land, housing, nationality, visas, etc. to amend the laws.
The Prime Minister hopes that Vietnamese people in China will continue to strive, try, work well, study well, stabilize their lives, first of all, care for their own lives, their families, and their relatives, and when they have the conditions, contribute to the community and the country; promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, self-reliance, self-confidence, national pride, continue to unite, help, support, and love each other with "national love and compatriotism"; comply with local laws, constantly contribute to consolidating and fostering increasingly good bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister requested the Embassy to continue to pay attention to, care for, and do a good job of protecting citizens, promoting the role of "connecting and creating", considering people as relatives, considering the work of the people as their own work, leaving no one behind, especially during times of difficulties, disasters, natural disasters, and epidemics.
