On June 25, in Tianjin, China, the opening session of the 16th World Economic Forum Pioneers Conference (WEF Tianjin 2025) took place from June 24 to 26.
With the theme "Start-up spirit for a new era", WEF Tianjin 2025 has the participation of more than 1,700 delegates who are senior leaders, representatives of agencies, ministries, international organizations, experts, scholars and business leaders from nearly 100 countries around the world.
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and 5 heads of state/head of government including Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, Ecuadoran President Daniel Noboa and Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the plenary Opening Session.
As host of the Conference, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang affirmed the important significance of the 2025 WEF Tianjin Conference in promoting multilateralism, global trade and investment, and the entrepreneurial spirit in the face of fundamental changes in the world economic environment.
The Chinese Prime Minister also highly appreciated the important contributions of the business community to social progress and economic development; at the same time, affirmed his commitment to opening the market, sharing China's achievements in economic development and scientific and technological advances with other countries for common global prosperity.
Within the framework of the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and spoke at a number of important Discussion Sessions and was a special guest of the National Policy Dialogue on the theme "Vietnam - The Era of Rising: Vision to Action".
This is the third consecutive time that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has been invited by the World Economic Forum to attend the World Economic Forum's Pioneers' Annual Conference.

The 16th Annual Meeting of Pioneers of the World Economic Forum took place from June 24 to 26, 2025 with more than 120 exchange and connection activities. In particular, the content of the discussion sessions revolves around 5 main topics: (i) Decoding the world economy, focusing on new growth trends in the context of fractured geoeconomy, inflation and unstable supply chains; (ii) China prospects, discussing development models based on technology, AI, new-generation industry and market reform; (iii) Industrial transformation, with the contents of smart manufacturing, AI, clean energy technology and supply chain adaptation; (iv) Investing in humans and the planet, focusing on digital skills, climate finance, gender equality in technology and public-private partnership; and (v) New energy and materials, discussing renewable energy, electricity storage, green industrial materials and next-generation nuclear technology.
