Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed Decisions approving the results of the election of the position of Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
In Decision No. 866/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term for Mr. Do Anh Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee.
Mr. Do Anh Tuan was born in 1971, hometown: Hai Tien commune, Ninh Binh province. Professional qualifications: economics, civil and industrial construction; Political theory: advanced.
Before holding the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Mr. Do Anh Tuan had nearly a decade of attachment to Tay Ho district through the positions of: Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council.
From February 2021, he was transferred to be Director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment. In the following period, he held important positions in the City Party Committee such as: Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Member of the City Party Committee's Standing Committee and most recently Chairman of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Inspection Committee (from November 2025).
In Decision No. 869/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term for Mr. Bui Duy Cuong - Member of the City Party Committee Executive Committee, Director of Hanoi City Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Mr. Bui Duy Cuong was born in 1973, native of Nam Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province. Professional qualifications: irrigation engineering; Political theory: advanced.
Mr. Bui Duy Cuong is an official with a long-term working foundation in the fields of natural resources, environment and agriculture. Before 2021, he used to hold the position of Head of the Sub-Department of Land Management and Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
From January 2021 to November 2022, he held the position of Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, then was transferred to be Secretary of Soc Son District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, he was holding the position of Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment (from February 2026).
Previously, on the morning of May 11, at the thematic session, the Hanoi City People's Council of the XVII term conducted an additional election for the position of Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
With 100% of delegates in favor, the Hanoi City People's Council elected Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Mr. Bui Duy Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
The consolidation of the leadership team of the Hanoi People's Committee is expected to help the Capital successfully implement socio-economic development goals in the 2026-2031 term.
