Accordingly, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Next, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the results of the dismissal of Mr. Phan Van Mai from the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term to take on a new assignment.
Previously, at the 21st session (special session) on the afternoon of February 20, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc expressed his honor and joy at being elected by the City People's Council delegates as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. This is not only an honor but also a heavy responsibility, requiring oneself to always strive and make efforts to complete assigned tasks well.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc pledged to inherit the experience and promote the spirit of previous generations, his predecessor was Mr. Phan Van Mai; constantly learn, cultivate knowledge, political courage, strive, intelligence, capacity, and enthusiasm to perform well the tasks trusted by the Party, State and people.
