On the afternoon of July 27, within the framework of the working trip to Quang Tri, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction progress of the T2 Passenger Terminal Project and expanded the aircraft parking lot at Dong Hoi Airport. Accompanying him were Central Party Committee member, Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Secretary Le Ngoc Quang and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong.
The project has a total investment of nearly VND 1,850 billion, including 2 components: Terminal T2 is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the aircraft parking lot has been completed since June 2025. Currently, Vietnam Airports Corporation is also preparing to implement an independent project on fire truck housing and a site clearance for ground equipment, expected to start construction at the end of this year.
After listening to the report, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and the construction units. The Prime Minister requested to continue to speed up the progress, organize the construction of "3 shifts, 4 teams", ensure quality, safety, aesthetics and request long-term expansion, especially the runway and san system.

On the same day, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, presented gifts and encouraged war invalid Nguyen Duy Dang in Dong Thuan ward.
The Prime Minister kindly visited and expressed his gratitude for Mr. Dang's contributions to the cause of defending the Fatherland, and at the same time requested local authorities to continue to pay close attention to policy beneficiaries.
