Da Nang - Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Party Secretariat Tran Cam Tu inspected and encouraged the forces day and night to reinforce the embankment in Duy Nghia commune.

Implementing the working program of the Politburo, on the morning of October 30, Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Party Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Central Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and leaders inspected the embankment of landslides in Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang).

Here, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu encouraged and shared with the functional forces who are working day and night to find ways to reinforce the landslides on the embankment of Duy Nghia commune, contributing to stabilizing the lives of local people.

According to Lao Dong reporters, in Duy Nghia commune - the end of Thu Bon river, south - to Cua Dai beach, there was a serious landslide at An Luong market.

From the afternoon to the night of October 29, nearly 1,000 people, including officers and soldiers of Division 315 (Military Region 5), police forces, militia, union members and people of Duy Nghia commune, stayed up all night to reinforce the An Luong sea embankment in heavy rain, strong waves and high tides.

In case of emergency, Duy Nghia commune mobilized all local forces with the support of Division 315. Nearly 100 officers and soldiers directly went to the scene, coordinating the transportation of thousands of sandbags, rocks and materials to reinforce the embankment body.

Dozens of trucks of local people were mobilized to transport sand from Tay Son Dong beach to An Luong fishing port area to serve the rescue work.

In conditions of heavy rain, strong waves, weak soil making it difficult for vehicles to access, most of the work is done by soldiers and people using human resources, determined to protect the embankment, keep the residential area and fishing wharf safe.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Secretary of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang city) - said that the area near An Luong embankment has over 300 households and a wholesale market and a sea gate.

The landslides not only threaten safety during this historic flood but also warn of long-term insecurity. With the help of armed forces and people, the An Luong embankment was temporarily maintained and not further eroded, but it is necessary to find a long-term solid solution.
