On the morning of October 30, the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command said that the prolonged floods in recent days have caused heavy damage to the entire city. By 5am the same day, Da Nang recorded 7 deaths and 21 injuries.
Heavy rain and consecutive landslides caused 50 houses to collapse, 94 others to be damaged, hundreds of hectares of vegetables to be buried and damaged. The whole city had 415.78 hectares of crops flooded, more than 1,880m of traffic roads were damaged, about 62,845m3 of rock and soil collapsed, and many key roads overflowed.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has directed the Department of Construction to coordinate with the City Military Command and the Regional Defense Commands to urgently repair and initial reopen 6 national highways, ensuring traffic for rescue forces and supplying more than 76,000 flooded households.
The city has evacuated 4,835 households/15,886 people from areas with deep flooding and dangerous landslides.
The water level on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river system in many places has exceeded alert level 3, even higher than the historic flood in 1964, causing the risk of widespread flooding downstream.


In Quang Ngai province, floods have also killed 3 people, caused more than 120 serious landslides on National Highways 14C, 24B, 24C, 40B and 10 provincial roads, with the amount of landslides reaching nearly 12,000 m3.
The whole province had more than 5,200 houses flooded; 1 house completely collapsed, and 27 others were severely damaged. Prolonged heavy rain has caused traffic disruption in many midland and mountainous areas; localities have evacuated 977 households/3,662 people in areas at high risk of landslides, mountains, and flash floods to safe places.

The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister provide emergency support for food, necessities and medicine to rescue people in affected areas, including: 5,000 tons of rice, 10,000 boxes of instant noodles, 2 tons of dry food, 100 medicine, 5,000 kg of Chloramine B and 50,000 Aquatabs used to disinfect domestic water.

The province also proposed supporting 200 billion VND to urgently repair damaged houses, agricultural production, transportation, irrigation and clean water systems, helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production after floods.
Relief and remedial work in the Central regions is still being urgently deployed, while the weather continues to be complicated, with heavy rain not ending in the upstream area.
