    A statement from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 20 stated: At the invitation of the Central Executive Committee of the Singaporean People's Action Party, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, will pay an official visit to Singapore, co-chairing the first Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Dialogue between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Singaporean People's Action Party from August 24 to 25, 2026.
