Lam Dong - Heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes swept through many wards in Bao Loc, causing dozens of houses to have their roofs blown off, green trees uprooted, and many roads obstructed.

At about 4:30 pm on August 20, heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes occurred in wards 1 Bao Loc, 2 Bao Loc, 3 Bao Loc and B'Lao, causing dozens of houses to have their roofs blown off.

Heavy rain and strong winds also caused many green trees to be uprooted and fallen on the roads, causing traffic obstruction. Among them, ward 2 Bao Loc and ward 3 Bao Loc suffered more severely.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep, a resident on Blaosire street (Ward 3, Bao Loc), said that the thunderstorm lasted for nearly 1 hour, continuous gusts of wind caused the corrugated iron roof to shake strongly and then was swept out of the house.

“Initially, the corrugated iron roof shook violently, then stronger winds caused the roof to be blown up,” Mr. Hiep recounted. After the tornado, the house lost the entire roof.

Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Que, in Residential Group 15 (Ward 2, Bao Loc), said: "When my husband and I were in the house, a tornado suddenly swept through, blowing off the roof. Rainwater then flooded in, causing many properties to be wet. Fortunately, my husband and I were not injured.
