On February 17, the People's Council of Tien Giang province held the 16th Session (special session) to review and resolve a number of urgent tasks under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
At the meeting, delegates voted to approve 6 Resolutions, including: Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Finance of Tien Giang province on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment with the Department of Finance; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Construction of Tien Giang province on the basis of merging the Department of Construction with the Department of Transport; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Home Affairs of Tien Giang province on the basis of merging the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs with the Department of Home Affairs; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Education and Technology of Tien Giang province on the basis of Information and Technology of the Department of Education and Technology of Tien Giang province on the basis of the development of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Home Affairs of Tien Giang province on the basis of merging the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs with the Department of Home Affairs; Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Education and Technology of Tien Giang province on the basis of Information and Technology on the basis of the Department of Information and Technology of the Department of Industry and Trade; Resolution No. 1, 2025, 2025.
Speaking at the closing session, Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tien Giang province - said that the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee is being carried out in the context that Tien Giang and the whole country are actively, determined, and urgently reorganizing the apparatus in the political system in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient".
The People's Council of Tien Giang province requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct newly established departments and branches to soon stabilize their organization and quickly put into operation, ensuring that competent agencies and people carry out their tasks continuously and smoothly, without missing tasks, without interruption, and without affecting the normal operations of society and people.
For agencies and positions with authority to receive functions, tasks, and powers to carry out administrative procedures, it is necessary to ensure the implementation process is smooth and uninterrupted. Relevant agencies must publicly announce information according to regulations, and at the same time minimize the requirement for individuals and organizations to submit submitted documents or must re-perform steps in the completed administrative procedures before the arrangement.
