Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong requested full-time National Assembly deputies, officials, civil servants, employees, and workers in the National Assembly Office, National Assembly agencies, and agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee to actively respond and contribute.
The level of donation and support from each National Assembly delegate, cadre, civil servant, public employee, and worker is at least one day's salary or more.
Earlier, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate and express their condolences to the families of the victims and express gratitude for the efforts and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the armed forces while performing rescue and recovery tasks after storm No. 3.
Speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh National Political Publishing House - said that this agency has just launched a campaign to support compatriots affected by storm No. 3 among all officials, civil servants and employees of the Publishing House.
Responding to the call of General Secretary, President To Lam and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, all cadres, civil servants and employees of the Publishing House supported and raised more than 132 million VND.
This amount will be transferred by the Publishing House to the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly share and support people in provinces and cities suffering damage caused by storm No. 3.
