Faced with the heavy loss of life and property caused by storm No. 3 and the rain and floods after the storm in many provinces and cities, especially the midland and mountainous provinces in the North, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the afternoon of September 11, 2024, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security organized a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 3.
The launching ceremony was broadcast live to police stations of units and localities with the participation of more than 5,000 officers and soldiers.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To emphasized: Currently, the situation after the storm and the post-storm circulation continuously caused heavy rain and prolonged floods, continuing to cause many complicated and especially serious consequences, including many potential consequences for security and order (ANTT).
Despite the attention and support from Party committees, authorities and functional forces, the situation of people in storm and flood affected areas is still extremely difficult due to the loss of loved ones, homes, isolation, and lack of food, drinking water and medicine.
With the fine moral tradition of the Vietnamese people and the spirit of mutual love, the whole leaf covers the torn leaf, "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of the People's Public Security force; on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To called on all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security from the Central to the grassroots level of communes, wards and towns to actively respond to the launching ceremony to support people affected by storms and floods, to show gratitude and support police officers and soldiers who heroically sacrificed and were injured while performing their duties in the storm-hit areas and prolonged floods with a spirit of urgency, profound meaning and practical effectiveness.
At the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, along with leaders of units under the Ministry of Public Security and a large number of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security force participated in donating to support people affected by storm No. 3.
