According to VNA, at 1:00 p.m. on September 27 (local time), General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left the capital Havana, successfully concluding a state visit to the Republic of Cuba at the invitation of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez and his wife.
First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, Politburo member Roberto Morales Ojeda - Permanent Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba, and many leaders of the Party and State of Cuba went to Jose Marti airport to see off General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam. This demonstrates Cuba's appreciation for the special brotherhood, solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples.
During the visit, General Secretary and President To Lam had high-level talks, meetings and contacts with leaders of the Party, State and National Assembly of the Cuban People's Government and a number of activities to develop the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, two States and people of the two brotherly countries of Vietnam and Cuba to new heights.
The two leaders of Vietnam and Cuba are determined to continue to strongly develop the traditional solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba to a new level of comprehensiveness, substance, effectiveness and sustainability, in the spirit of mutual support, cooperation and development, for the cause of development and construction of socialism, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development in each region and the world.
During the visit, on behalf of the leaders of the Cuban Party and State, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez presided over the ceremony to award the Jose Marti Medal to General Secretary and President To Lam.
This is the most noble award of the Cuban Party and State to recognize the invaluable contributions of General Secretary and President To Lam to the development of solidarity, friendship and loyalty between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and Cuba.
At high-level talks, meetings and contacts, the two sides especially emphasized the historical value of the special, loyal and pure solidarity and friendship between the two brotherly peoples of Vietnam and Cuba.
On the occasion of his state visit to the Republic of Cuba, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, visited and laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in the park named after him in the capital city of Havana, Cuba.
