To celebrate the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Police Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026) and the 21st anniversary of the All People's Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2026), on the afternoon of July 15, General Secretary and President To Lam and the Central Working Delegation attended the All People's Day for National Security Protection Festival in Long Luong village, Van Ho commune, Son La province.
Speaking at the Festival, the General Secretary and President emphasized that after 21 years of organization, the All People's Day for National Security Protection has become an annual activity of practical significance, widely implemented in residential areas, agencies, businesses, and schools.

The festival contributes to promoting patriotism, consolidating the great national unity bloc, strengthening the close relationship between the Police force and the people, building a solid "people's security posture" and "people's heart posture".
Assessing the results of the movement in Son La, the General Secretary and President acknowledged the positive changes of the province in general and Van Ho commune in particular in ensuring security and order.
In particular, Long Luong village - an area that was once a hotspot for drug crime - has now undergone many changes, becoming a bright spot in building the "All people protect national security" movement, contributing to maintaining political stability and promoting local socio-economic development.
Praising the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Son La province, especially the people of Long Luong village, the General Secretary and President requested all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines on building the "All people protect national security" movement; promote the subjective role of the people in protecting security and order.
According to the General Secretary and President, each cadre and party member needs to be close to the people, close to the people, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and set an example in implementing the movement.
At the same time, linking the movement "All people protect national security" with patriotic emulation movements to create widespread influence in the community.
The General Secretary and President also requested to continue to develop self-management, self-defense, self-protection, and self-mediation models in residential areas; strengthen coordination between the Police and Army forces with the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; pay attention to discovering, commending, and replicating typical collectives and individuals in the movement.

Every citizen should be a soldier on the front of protecting national security, maintaining security and order right from every family, clan, residential cluster and village," the General Secretary and President emphasized.
For Van Ho commune, the General Secretary and President requested the locality to continue to promote the achieved results, build it into a model commune in terms of security and order of the province, towards the goal of "no drugs, no crime, no social evils", and at the same time promote economic development and improve people's lives.
Regarding the People's Police force, the General Secretary and President requested to continue to firmly grasp the situation, strictly manage all types of crimes, especially drug crimes; not to let hotspots of security and order arise; promote propaganda, raise awareness of crime prevention and control, contributing to building a safe and peaceful environment for the people.
On this occasion, General Secretary and President To Lam and representatives of central departments, ministries, and branches presented gifts to prestigious people, village elders, village heads, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, and policy families and households in difficult circumstances in Van Ho commune.
During his working program in Son La, the General Secretary and President also visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious services to the revolution and former Politburo member, former Standing Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong.
