On the afternoon of April 28, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary and President To Lam received Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav to say goodbye on the occasion of the end of his term of office in Vietnam.
At the reception, General Secretary and President To Lam and Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav expressed their pleasure at the substantive and effective development of the two countries' relations over the past 4 years, since Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav took office in Vietnam in December 2021; delegation exchanges, high-level and high-level contacts were strongly promoted, including the State visit to Vietnam by President Khurelsukh (November 2023) and the State visit to Mongolia by General Secretary and President To Lam (September 2024).
The two sides officially established the relationship "Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership" on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2024; Party channel relations, trade cooperation, investment, defense, security, justice, culture, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges have all had positive developments, contributing to creating a solid foundation to promote comprehensive cooperation in Vietnam - Mongolia relations in the coming time.
General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav on excellently completing his term of office in Vietnam; acknowledged and highly appreciated the Ambassador's important contributions to the relations between the two countries, especially in promoting the effective role of a bridge of cooperation to bring the traditional friendly relations between the two countries to a substantial and comprehensive development in many fields of cooperation.
General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always values the development of relations with Mongolia; requested the two sides to continue to strengthen delegation exchanges, high-level and all-level contacts, consolidate political trust; promote economic and trade cooperation and investment development commensurate with the potential of the Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership.
Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav thanked the Party and State leaders and departments, ministries, branches, agencies, and localities of Vietnam for their support and creating all favorable conditions for the Ambassador to successfully complete his term of office in Vietnam.
Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav expressed her honor to directly join hands and contribute to the development of relations between the two countries in the past time; affirming that the State and people of Mongolia always value relations with Vietnam, Mongolia's first comprehensive partner in Southeast Asia.
Expressing agreement with the directions of General Secretary and President To Lam, Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav affirmed that with the current good relationship foundation, especially the close attention and direction of the senior leaders of the two countries, the "Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership" relationship will continuously develop effectively, substantively and comprehensively.
Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav affirmed that after ending her term, in any position, she will always monitor and continue to make positive contributions to the Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership.
