The two leaders expressed their pleasure at the extensive development of Vietnam-Korea relations after nearly 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, in which they affirmed that the two countries are one of the three largest trading partners of each other; Korea is currently the largest investor in Vietnam with more than 10,000 businesses operating in Vietnam, actively contributing to the economic growth of the two countries and the industrial development of Vietnam.
Regarding economic, trade and investment cooperation, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung said that the two sides need to promote economic linkages focusing on innovation and improving the quality of cooperation; proposed that the two sides coordinate to implement the task groups in the Action Plan to achieve the bilateral trade turnover target of 150 billion USD in a more balanced direction by 2030; continue to open markets for goods of the two countries; proposed that Korea support strengthen the localization rate and participation of Vietnamese enterprises in the Korean production supply chain; have policies to support Vietnamese enterprises investing and doing business in Korea; share experiences in the field of financial innovation, inspection, banking supervision and operation, and participation in Vietnam's international financial centers.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung also proposed that the two sides promote cooperation in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; strategically link in ensuring sustainable energy security between the two countries; expand cooperation in human resources, culture, tourism, and promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung agreed with the proposals of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; affirmed that he will coordinate with Vietnam to find measures to bring trade between the two countries to 150 billion USD by 2030 in a more balanced direction; create conditions for Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in Korea's global supply chain.

President Lee Jae Myung affirmed that Vietnam's success is also South Korea's success, the two sides need to strengthen exchanges to promote bilateral cooperation at the highest level, towards sustainable common prosperity; wishing the Vietnamese Government to actively support the resolution of difficulties and obstacles of Korean businesses in Vietnam, creating conditions for Korean businesses to have the opportunity to participate in strategic infrastructure projects of Vietnam such as nuclear power, infrastructure, high-speed railways; said that South Korea will actively consider increasing quotas for receiving Vietnamese workers as well as expanding labor-receiving industries and strengthening cooperation in training, improving the quality of human resources and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
