On the morning of February 22nd (the 6th day of Binh Ngo Tet), in Hanoi Capital, General Secretary To Lam and leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense and Hanoi City attended and launched the "Tet of planting trees, forever remembering Uncle Ho" Binh Ngo Spring 2026 - an event that marks the beginning of the new year's emulation atmosphere, and at the same time affirms the green development vision in the new era of the country.
The launching ceremony was held at the Vietnam Communist Party Museum (Xuan Dinh ward), and at the same time, live television was connected to 3 locations, including: Regiment 692 (Division 301) under the Hanoi Capital Command in Doai Phuong commune; Ha Dong Ward Police headquarters and the planned high school land in Phuc Loc village, Dong Anh commune, creating a unified action space, strongly spreading the message for a green - smart - sustainable Capital. The remaining communes and wards in the city organized tree planting in response to the registered plan, ensuring synchronization and compliance with regulations.

According to the plan, in this year's early spring campaign, Hanoi City strives to plant from 80,000 to 100,000 trees of all kinds, with 37 types of trees according to city regulations, in accordance with planning and soil conditions of each area.
At the main bridge point, the planted trees include shade trees, landscape value trees such as banyan, bodhi, nhoi or Dang Nga bamboo clumps... The planted trees ensure technical standards, good growth, and beautiful shape. The Ministry of Public Security plans to plant 3 million trees of all kinds.
This is not only an activity in response to the traditional movement, but also a specific step in realizing a long-term development strategy, associated with the 100-year vision of the Capital, creating Hanoi into a global urban area with identity, where people live in harmony with nature.
Continuing President Ho Chi Minh's advice on "Tet tree planting", today's movement is elevated in both awareness and action. In the context of entering a new era of development - the era of digital transformation, green economy and sustainable growth, each planted green tree not only has ecological significance, but is also a symbol of long-term planning thinking, of the responsibility of today's generation for the hundred-year future of the Capital.
