400 thousand union members are taken care of during Tet
Reporting to the General Secretary on the work of taking care of the Lunar New Year of At Ty for union members and workers in Bac Ninh province, Mr. Le Xuan Loi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that Bac Ninh is one of the top provinces in the country in attracting investment, up to now there have been 14 industrial parks and 26 industrial clusters in operation, attracting nearly 450 thousand workers.
Faced with the rapid growth of the local labor force, Bac Ninh province always pays attention to the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots unions in enterprises, especially in industrial parks and clusters.
Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee issued a specialized Resolution on strengthening the Party's leadership in the establishment of grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises, supporting the Provincial Trade Union with funds to establish grassroots trade unions in enterprises. Directing the completion of the Steering Committee for developing Party members, Youth Union members, establishing Party organizations, socio-political organizations, and grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises.
In 2024, Bac Ninh province established 125 grassroots trade unions in enterprises, exceeding the target assigned by the Provincial Party Committee by 78.6%; and increased the number of union members by 19,850, exceeding the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor by 7.8%. Bringing the total number of grassroots trade unions in the province to 2,228 units, with 305,369 union members.
In 2024, the average salary of employees at enterprises across the province will be about 9.6 million VND/person/month; on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on average, enterprises will give employees a bonus of about 7.7 million VND/person, of which the highest bonus is 219 million VND/person in the private enterprise sector.
"Since the beginning of January 2025, all levels of the Trade Union in the province have simultaneously organized activities to take care of Tet for union members and workers. It is expected that the whole province will have nearly 400,000 union members and workers being taken care of by the Trade Union for Tet, with a total budget of 121 billion VND, an increase of 78% compared to 2024 with activities such as giving gifts, giving bus tickets, organizing buses to go home for Tet, giving shopping vouchers... Organizing the program Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng with many practical contents", said Mr. Le Xuan Loi.
Bac Ninh has implemented social security policies well.
