At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam expressed his pleasure and satisfaction when witnessing Vietnam -Japan relations continued the momentum and comprehensive development in all areas after more than a year of upgrading relations to comprehensive strategic partners.In which political trust continues to be strengthened, economic cooperation continues to be the main pillar, Japan continues to be the leading economic partner of Vietnam, cooperating in new fields such as green conversion, digital transformation with many specific projects.
The General Secretary affirmed that in the context of the world situation, there have been many rapid fluctuations recently, Vietnam consistently considered Japan as a leading important partner, a sincere and reliable friend, accompanying Vietnam in the development process; Desiring to implement Japan in essence and effectiveness of comprehensive strategic partners.
Sharing that to achieve the goal of being a developed country with modern industry, high average income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045, the General Secretary said that Vietnam is strongly implementing a revolution of streamlining the apparatus, focusing on removing institutional bottlenecks and bottlenecks, improving the quality of infrastructure and human resources, thereby promoting a favorable investment environment for the private enterprise sector, including both Japanese and foreign enterprises.

The General Secretary highly appreciated the efforts and positive contributions of Ambassador Ito Naoki, after nearly a year of his tenure, to the development of the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, effectively implementing agreements between senior leaders of the two countries; suggested that the two sides continue to increase high-level delegation exchanges, promote economic cooperation, Japanese enterprises actively participate in strategic and key infrastructure projects, new energy projects of Vietnam, promote cooperation in training high-quality human resources, science - technology, innovation, local cooperation, culture, tourism and expand cooperation to new areas such as green transformation, energy transformation, innovation, AI, semiconductors.
The General Secretary suggested that the two sides strengthen coordination, share positions, and support each other at international and regional forums.
