According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Secretary To Lam welcomed and expressed his pleasure at meeting Prime Minister Lawrence Wong again immediately after the two countries upgraded their relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; emphasized the importance of this visit, demonstrating the spirit of actively implementing, concretizing the content, orienting bilateral relations in the coming time, opening a new chapter of cooperation between the two countries, and at the same time demonstrating the increasingly close, trusting, effective and vibrant relationship between the two countries.
General Secretary To Lam recalled his good impressions of the country and people of Singapore, thanked the Prime Minister, Government and people of Singapore for their warm and respectful reception for the General Secretary, his wife and the delegation during their recent visit to Singapore; affirmed that Vietnam values Singapore not only as a joint ASEAN member, but also as a key partner, accompanying Vietnam in the process of development and international integration.
Emphasizing the important contents that the two sides have achieved at exchanges with Singaporean leaders during the official visit to Singapore as well as the continued signing of many new cooperation agreements just two weeks after the visit, the General Secretary suggested that the two sides soon continue to concretize the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries through the signing of the Action Program for the implementation of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2025-2030.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the 6 pillars of cooperation within the framework of the two countries' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership are very important; suggested promoting cooperation between the two ruling parties and agreed on strategic orientations for cadre training.

The General Secretary also welcomed and supported the proposal to cooperate with Singapore in the field of green energy as well as the green power grid in the region; upgrading the VSIP industrial park system towards greener, smarter and more connected.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam welcomed and highly appreciated Singapore's recent grant of a license to open markets for Vietnamese agricultural and livestock products, and assessed that the two countries have many favorable conditions to expand cooperation on food security.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong expressed his pleasure at his first visit to Vietnam as Singaporean Prime Minister and immediately after the two countries upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; informed the General Secretary of the results of effective exchanges with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Vietnamese leaders on the basis of the major orientations reached during the visit.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong highly agreed with the important strategic orientations for bilateral cooperation in the coming time proposed by the General Secretary, especially the need to constantly strengthen political trust, enhance mutual understanding and strategic coordination through exchanges at all levels and through Party, Government and National Assembly channels; effectively implement existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms and establish new mechanisms in line with the level of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; promote economic cooperation, create new momentum for development, promote labor cooperation and people-to-people exchanges; continue to coordinate closely to effectively implement cooperation agreements, develop the bilateral relationship in a practical and effective manner, bring benefits to the people of the two countries, and become a model of cooperation in ASEAN countries.
The two leaders agreed to further deepen the relationship between the two ruling parties, maintain cooperation in training strategic cadres, research and establish a regular exchange mechanism to enhance mutual understanding, share experiences in national development, and create a foundation for bilateral relations in the future.
