Building a hospital that truly becomes a reliable support for soldiers and people
On March 30, Central Military Hospital 108 held a ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Traditional Day (April 1, 1951 - April 1, 2026) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order. General Secretary To Lam - Secretary of the Central Military Commission attended and delivered a directing speech.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo members, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
Also attending the ceremony were Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan.

According to the Electronic Information Portal of the Communist Party of Vietnam, speaking at the anniversary ceremony, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the medical profession is a special profession, doctors are noble titles, that is the convergence point of intelligence, science, love and compassion; where each professional decision is associated with human life.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Doctors must be like mothers". That sacred teaching has become a guiding principle, the highest ethical standard of generations of Vietnamese doctors. Based on that noble ideology and morality, cadres, staff, soldiers, doctors and nurses of Central Military Hospital 108 have strived to build the Hospital to develop and grow stronger than it is today.
Recognizing the great and particularly outstanding achievements and contributions in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, the Party and State decided to award the Ho Chi Minh Order (for the second time) to Central Military Hospital 108 for its long tradition, great and particularly outstanding contributions in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The General Secretary clearly stated that entering a new stage of development for the country, when world medical science is undergoing strong changes, the trend of integration and international cooperation is increasingly deep, the requirements for the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health raise higher, more comprehensive and stricter issues; requiring continued building a methodical, long-term, and long-term-sighted Hospital so that the Hospital truly becomes a reliable fulcrum for soldiers and people.
Putting patients at the center and considering treatment quality as the highest measure
With the great faith and expectations of the Party, State, Army and people, the General Secretary requested that in the coming time, the Party Committee, Board of Directors, professors, doctors, scientists and the collective of cadres and doctors of Central Military Hospital 108 need to continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoint on the work of protecting, caring for and improving the health of the people in the new situation; promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and striving to overcome difficulties; steadfastly build a clean and strong Party Committee, a comprehensively strong "Exemplary and typical" Hospital.
The General Secretary requested to constantly maintain and comprehensively improve the professional quality of the Hospital in all aspects, always thoroughly grasp the view of putting patients at the center and considering treatment quality as the highest measure of prestige and brand. Promote the development of academic capacity by closely combining treatment with scientific research, training - education and technology transfer.
The General Secretary also requested to continue to promote administrative reform, simplify processes and procedures; widely apply digital transformation and artificial intelligence in management and medical examination and treatment. Focus on building a humane, professional, and happy working and medical examination and treatment environment; promote standard behavior culture, solidarity, responsibility, and create trust and absolute satisfaction and trust for leaders and patients coming for examination and treatment at the Hospital.
Central Military Hospital 108 needs to continue to maintain and promote 3 core values: Heart - Mind - Trust; taking medical ethics as the foundation; intelligence and innovation as motivation, prestige and trust as a measure; striving to build Central Military Hospital 108 into a model in health care for senior officials, soldiers and people, actively contributing to the development of Vietnamese medicine in the new era" - the General Secretary noted.
