In Decision No. 823, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided that Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Tam - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television - would cease to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television; transfer and assign him to hold the position of Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Can Tho City Party Committee.
In Decision No. 822, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to assign comrade Vo Chi Cong - Member of the City Party Executive Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee also decided to assign the authority of Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television to comrade Huynh Hoang Men - Member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Van Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee - acknowledged the contributions of the press of the three localities: Can Tho City, Hau Giang Province and Soc Trang Province before the merger.
