On July 22, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security informed about the above incident.
Accordingly, at around 9:00 a.m. on July 22, while carrying out the task of propagating and mobilizing watercraft to the Wipha storm shelter area, the task force of the 1st Corps under the Traffic Police Department discovered a fishing boat with registration number QNg 92614-TS, captain Tran Thanh Phap (42 years old, residing in An Phu commune, Quang Ngai province), being sunk by a whirlwind on the Chanh River (Quang Yen ward, Quang Ninh province). At the time the authorities discovered it, there were 9 crew members on board.
Immediately, the working group mobilized the Grip ship and 8 officers and soldiers to urgently approach the scene, promptly support the safe return of all crew members to shore, and at the same time organize the rescue of drifted assets.
In the face of unpredictable developments of storm Wipha, the Traffic Police Department recommends that people do not try to go into flooded or deep water roads; comply with orders from traffic police and regulating forces, monitor weather information, and traffic warnings through newspapers and official social networks to have a suitable route when participating in traffic.
