Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva paid a state visit to Vietnam from March 27 to March 29, at the invitation of Politburo member and President Luong Cuong.
According to VNA, welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet; Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan; Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Bui Van Nghi.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was born on October 27, 1945, in Garanhuns city, Pernambuco state.
In October 2002, he was elected President of Brazil for the first term (1,2005 - 1,2007) as a candidate of the left-wing coalition.
In October 2006, he was elected President of Brazil for the second term (11. 2007 - 12.2010)).
In November 2022, he was elected President of Brazil for the third term (1st of 2023 - 1st of 2027). From January 1, 2023 to present, he has been the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
President Lula da Silva is the first foreign head of state to visit Vietnam in 2025. This is also the second time President Lula da Silva has visited Vietnam as head of Brazil, after the first time in 2008.
