President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated our Party on successfully organizing the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, congratulated the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and General Secretary To Lam personally for being trusted by the Party Congress to be elected to leadership positions in the new term.
President Vladimir Putin affirmed that this is an important political event, defining directions, setting major goals and passing important policies, tasks, and measures to bring Vietnam to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era and become a high-income developed country by 2045.
The President emphasized that the continued election of Comrade To Lam as General Secretary of the 14th Central Committee of the Party affirms the political prestige and important contribution of Comrade To Lam in planning and making strategic decisions for sustainable socio-economic development, protecting Vietnam's interests and enhancing its position in the international arena.
On behalf of the Communist Party and the people of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude to President Vladimir Putin for his concern for the important political event of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the warm, sincere and personal congratulations of the President to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people and the General Secretary personally.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that through the Congresses, Vietnam always has traditional friendly friends who care and support, including the former Soviet Union and today's Russian Federation.
The General Secretary shared that the 14th Congress was successful, completing the great historical mission, summarizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress, evaluating 40 years of renovation and the results of implementing the Platform and Strategy for socio-economic development; not only setting goals, orientations, and tasks for the next 5 years but also deciding strategic issues for the future and destiny of the Vietnamese nation in the new era of development.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always considers Russia a reliable and top important partner of Vietnam in Europe, and wishes to cooperate with the Russian Federation to develop friendly and cooperative relations in the spirit of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia especially values the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam on the basis of 75 years of traditional friendship, which has been constantly nurtured by the leaders and people of the two countries.
President Vladimir Putin affirmed that the Russian Federation will continue to closely coordinate to comprehensively strengthen bilateral links, for the benefit of the Russian people and the Vietnamese people, for the goal of ensuring stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
On this occasion, President Putin thanked General Secretary To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation for attending the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
General Secretary To Lam and President Vladimir Putin agreed to be ready to exchange constructively and openly in the spirit of understanding, mutual respect and harmonizing interests to enhance cooperation in traditional fields and expand to new potential fields.
