On the afternoon of October 15, at the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the opening ceremony of the recruitment of civil servants and public employees from excellent university graduates and young scientists in 2024 took place.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City - said that in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City has announced recruitment for 19 positions (14 civil servants and 5 public employees) for excellent graduates and young scientists.
However, through the screening process, only 8 out of 15 registered candidates met the required standards and conditions. This shows that the standards for candidates are very high, ensuring that those selected will be outstanding factors, contributing to innovation and creativity for the city's development.
Mr. Thuan also emphasized that this recruitment period is not only an opportunity for candidates to start their career path with the ideal of contributing to the common good, but also a challenge to help them train and develop themselves.
“The City People’s Committee will create the most favorable conditions for you to demonstrate your abilities, knowledge and enthusiasm. Hopefully, through this recruitment, you will not only gain more experience but also have more motivation to improve yourself, strive for your career and life,” said Mr. Thuan.
In this recruitment round, 8 candidates applied for 5 positions, including: Grade III high school teacher at the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City; teaching assistant at Saigon University; specialist of the Legal Department of the Department of Transport; specialist of the Office of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City; specialist of the Department of Planning and Construction Management of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also successfully recruited 3 young officials from excellent graduates to work at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center.
At the end of 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council issued a Resolution on preferential policies to recruit civil servants and public employees from excellent university graduates and highly qualified people to work in agencies and units of the Ho Chi Minh City political system.
This is one of the policies to concretize Resolution 98 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, in addition to the salary and allowances received according to regulations, Ho Chi Minh City supports additional income according to qualifications from 2 to 4 times the regional minimum wage/month.
At the same time, support is provided based on output products with incentives and capacity development for individuals implementing projects equal to 1% (5% for author groups) of the total budget of Ho Chi Minh City paid for approved projects. Ho Chi Minh City also supports public housing for those who are facing housing difficulties.
