The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1277/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Tra Vinh province for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tra Vinh city is as follows:
Enter the entire natural area of 0.29 km2, population size of 3,885 people of Ward 2 and the entire natural area of 1.01 km2, population size of 10,960 people of Ward 6 into Ward 3.
After the merger, Ward 3 has a natural area of 1.47 km2 and a population of 18,644 people.
After the arrangement, Tra Vinh city has 8 commune-level administrative units, including 7 wards and 1 commune.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Tra Vinh province has 9 district-level administrative units and 104 commune-level administrative units.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
The Government, People's Council, People's Committee of Tra Vinh province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations.
Stabilize the lives of local people, ensure the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.
The Government directed relevant ministries and Tra Vinh provincial authorities to continue researching and developing appropriate reorganization plans for administrative units that are subject to reorganization but have not yet been reorganized in the 2023-2025 period.
Determine the roadmap to complete the necessary standards and conditions to ensure the implementation of the arrangement in the following years in accordance with regulations.
The Nationalities Council, the Committees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall supervise the implementation of this resolution.
