On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), this afternoon (February 3) in Hanoi, the Hanoi Party Committee solemnly held a ceremony to present the 65-year Party membership badge to comrade Tran Duc Luong - former member of the Politburo, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Politburo member and President Luong Cuong attended the ceremony.
General Secretary To Lam sent a flower basket to congratulate former President Tran Duc Luong.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Party Central Committee members: Le Khanh Hai, Head of the Office of the President; Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; leaders of departments, branches, and the Hanoi Party Committee.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Hanoi Party Committee announced Decision No. 8001 of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee awarding the 65-year Party membership badge to comrade Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Party member of Cell 9, Lieu Giai Ward Party Committee, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong respectfully presented the 65-year Party membership badge and warmly congratulated former President Tran Duc Luong. This is a noble award of the Party, recognizing the dedication and great contributions of comrade Tran Duc Luong to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.
President Luong Cuong affirmed that this is not only the honor and pride of the comrade and his family, but also the common joy of the Party Committees and Party cells where he has been and is working.
During 65 years in the Party, regardless of his position, comrade Tran Duc Luong always upheld the pioneering and exemplary nature of a Party member, was loyal to the Party and the Fatherland, wholeheartedly served the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, fulfilled the assigned responsibilities, and was worthy of the trust of the Party, the State and the people.
President Luong Cuong respectfully wished comrade Tran Duc Luong and his family good health, happiness, longevity, and much joy in life; and hoped that comrade would continue to contribute more to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, State, and people.
