At the press conference, the Organizing Committee informed that the theme of the Fifth Competition focuses on fundamental, core, and new issues on protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints that have emerged in recent times.
Outstanding as protecting, applying and developing Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought in the current context; protecting and spreading the theory on the country's renovation path; protecting and spreading the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the cause of renovation, building socialism in Vietnam, Vietnam's achievements over 40 years of renovation;
Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; strategic decisions and revolutionary transformations to bring the country into a new era of development; identifying and combating and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints against the Party, State and regime; practices and experiences in organizing the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, and combating and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new context.
Proposing to perfect the national development policy to successfully implement the goal of 100 years of the Party's founding, 100 years of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, associated with identifying, fighting, and refuting distorted arguments about the country's development goals in the era of national growth.
Concluding the press conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee 35 - emphasized that the fifth political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation aims to continue affirming the country's achievements under the Party's leadership; providing arguments, models, and good practices to spread the Party's important policies and decisions, contributing to preparing the conditions and foundations for the country to enter the era of national development.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that agencies and units promote the core force of Steering Committee 35 of all agencies and units; mobilize the participation of a large number of cadres, party members, armed forces and people from all walks of life with a proactive and positive spirit, through the contest to make the Party's guidelines and policies penetrate deeply into the hearts and minds of each cadre, party member and people.
The Central-level competition organizing committee receives entries from the provincial-level competition organizing committee and equivalent, and entries from authors/groups of authors until July 15, 2025 (according to the postmark).
