On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the traditional Lunar New Year 2025, on the evening of February 3, the Government organized an intimate meeting program "Celebrating the glorious Party, celebrating the Spring of the Lunar New Year 2025", according to VNA.
Politburo members: General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo members, former Politburo members; Party Central Committee Secretaries, former Party Central Committee Secretaries; leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, branches, and central agencies attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the whole country has just gone through 2024 with many difficulties and challenges, but under the close leadership of the Central Executive Committee, directly and regularly by the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by the General Secretary; the close accompaniment and coordination of the National Assembly and agencies in the political system; the support and active participation of the people and the business community; the help of international friends, the socio-economy has recovered positively, in most areas, not only achieving but basically surpassing all 15/15 main targets, with 12 bright spots in all aspects of work.
The Prime Minister said that 2025 is the final year of the 2021-2025 Five-Year Plan; the whole country will organize party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; organize major national holidays; effectively implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; continue to reorganize the apparatus.
The Government has requested all levels, sectors and localities to thoroughly grasp the action motto for 2025, which is “Discipline, responsibility; proactive and timely; streamlined and efficient; accelerated breakthrough,” in which special efforts are made to achieve GDP growth of at least 8% and strive to achieve double digits in more favorable conditions.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister respectfully thanks and hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership and direction of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the support of leaders and former leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the companionship of the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Government to fulfill the assigned tasks according to the functions and tasks in 2025, creating a foundation, momentum, and force for the whole country to develop further, firmly entering a new era, an era of striving to develop richly, civilizedly, prosperously, and the people increasingly prosperous and happy.
Respecting the valuable heritage that leaders and members of the Government have built over the years, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Government will inherit, promote and strongly innovate its organizational activities, and strive to contribute more to the cause of national construction and defense.
The Government will be worthy of its position and role as the highest executive body, directly organizing, managing, implementing, and turning the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws into reality, bringing prosperity, freedom, and happiness to the people.
