Submitting to the Prime Minister a project for a traffic violation handling and control center before April 2026

The Deputy Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Public Security on the policy of building a project for a Data Center, management, supervision, handling of violations and traffic management.

On December 26, the Government Office said that it had just issued Document 12748/VPCP-CN conveying the directing opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on building a project for a data center, management, supervision, handling of violations and traffic management for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Public Security on the policy of building a project for a data center, management, supervision, handling of violations and traffic management for the period 2026-2030, vision to 2050 (Project).

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, localities, and units to develop the Project on a Data Center for Management, Supervision, Handling of Violations and Traffic Management for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2050, and submit it to the Prime Minister before March 31, 2026.

Government leaders noted to assess and review the databases that have been and are being implemented according to different projects at the Ministry of Public Security and localities (including the Project to invest in installing surveillance cameras, traffic command and operation to serve security and order and handle administrative violations according to Decision No. 165/QD-TTg dated February 3, 2021 of the Prime Minister), integrated into this project, ensuring synchronization, avoiding overlap, duplication, and waste of invested resources.

Previously, in order to improve the efficiency of traffic order and safety management and security and order, applying technology to handle administrative violations, the Prime Minister approved the project "Investing in installing cameras to monitor, command and operate traffic to serve security and order and handle administrative violations" in Decision No. 165/QD-TTg dated February 3, 2021.

The goal of the project is to upgrade the command information center of the Traffic Police Department, ensuring the connection of camera systems of units inside and outside the police sector.

Completing the Traffic Command and Operation Information Center of the Traffic Police Department, Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police; building a model of Traffic Command and Operation Information Center for local police to apply uniformly nationwide.
