At the 22nd session, Lao Cai Provincial People's Council dismissed and elected additional positions of members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 16th term, 2021 - 2026.

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee introduced to the Provincial People's Council delegates attending the meeting to consider and elect additional member of the Provincial People's Committee term XVI for Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nhan - Head of Provincial Ethnic Minorities.

According to the voting results, Head of Lao Cai Province's Ethnic Minorities Nguyen Xuan Nhan was elected as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 16th term, 2021 - 2026, with a high number of votes.

The Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council congratulated the new member of the Provincial People's Committee who was elected at the meeting and hoped that in his new position, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nhan would continue to research and advise the province to perform well the local tasks, meeting the trust and confidence of the delegates.

Within the framework of the session, delegates passed a Resolution to dismiss Mr. Nong Duc Ngoc - former Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, term XVI, from the position of Member of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026, due to retirement according to regulations.

Previously, on September 17, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nhan - Standing Deputy Secretary of Bao Yen district was appointed by the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Head of Ethnic Minorities of the province.
