Quy Nhon ward was established on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population of 4 wards: Dong Da, Hai Cang, Thi Nai and Tran Phu.
This is the central ward of the new Gia Lai province, with an area of 21.78 km2 and a population of 129,326 people. The ward Party Committee has 140 party organizations and affiliated Party cells, with 6,711 party members.
Reporting to the working group, the leaders of Quy Nhon ward said that in recent times, the local economy has continuously developed, social security has been guaranteed, and people's lives continue to improve and enhance.
There are no more poor households, temporary houses, or dilapidated houses in the ward. The construction of two-level local governments is guaranteed according to regulations, requirements, and set progress.

The local government at both levels will create motivation and room for socio-economic development for Quy Nhon ward. Quy Nhon Ward is ready to operate smoothly, effectively and efficiently from July 1, 2025.
At the announcement ceremony of the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on the merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed: The rearrangement of administrative units is a correct policy, thereby creating new development space, potential, and advantages, creating new motivation and mechanisms for the new Gia Lai province to develop rapidly and sustainably.
In particular, the province needs to promote the development of high-tech agriculture, logistics services, seaports, services and tourism, thereby making Gia Lai strongly prosperous and prosperous with the common pace of the country in the new era".
The new Gia Lai province has 135 commune-level administrative units, including 110 communes and 25 wards. After the merger, the new Gia Lai province will have a natural area of over 21,550km2, the second largest in the country (after the new Lam Dong province), with a population of about 3.5 million people.
