81 years ago, the August Revolution succeeded on August 19, 1945, entering the glorious history of the Vietnamese nation as a brilliant milestone, opening a new era, an era of national independence associated with socialism, with the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. To protect the revolutionary achievements and build the State of the People, by the People, for the People, on August 19, 1945, the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (CAND) was officially established.
Right from the early days, when the revolutionary government was still young, facing countless difficulties and challenges of "enemy inside and enemy outside". In that "life-threatening" situation, the People's Public Security Forces stood shoulder to shoulder with the People's Army (QĐND), relying on the People to successfully defend the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945 and the first National Assembly election on January 6, 1946 - two important political events, affirming national sovereignty and the foundation of a new democratic institution. These are the first feats of arms in the glorious history of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces.
Continuing that feat, in the 2 resistance wars against France and the US, the People's Public Security Forces have achieved many outstanding feats, making great contributions to the historically significant victories of our army and people. Entering the renovation period (from 1986 to present), the People's Public Security Forces, together with the People's Army, levels and sectors, firmly protected independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, ensuring national security (ANQG), social order and safety; effectively promoting the core role in building people's security, people's security posture associated with the all-people national defense.
Creating a peaceful and stable environment for development
