Looking back at the past 96 years, proud of the glorious tradition of the Party, we further cherish, cherish, and preserve the great achievements of the revolution; engrave the heroic dedication and sacrifice of many generations of cadres, party members, compatriots, and comrades for the ideal goals of the Party; and be more boundlessly grateful for the immense merits of President Ho Chi Minh - the beloved founder, leader and trainer of our Party.
Reality has affirmed that the correct, talented, and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.
Indeed, in the past 96 years, the Party has overcome countless difficulties and challenges, made correct leadership decisions, leading to glorious victories.
That is the glorious victory of the August Revolution in 1945; the victory of the resistance war against French colonialism in 1954; the victory of the resistance war against the US for national salvation, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975; from here, our country was completely unified, our people were completely free.
That is the victory of the comprehensive and thorough national renovation, achieving great achievements of historical significance.
In particular, after 40 years of Doi Moi, the foundation, potential, position and international prestige of our country have been elevated to a new level. The achievements after 40 years of carrying out the Doi Moi campaign further demonstrate the Party's bravery, intelligence, and talent; not only creating a solid belief for the entire nation in the leadership role of the Party but also being recognized and admired by international friends.
The entire Vietnamese people firmly believe in the Party because our Party always knows how to preserve and promote good traditions; our Party has enough heart and leadership to lead the entire nation to overcome all storms and waves.
The Party always focuses on innovating leadership methods, building a clean and strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres. The Party constantly strengthens close links with the people; is the nucleus that gathers and promotes the strength of national unity.
Looking back at 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, it can be affirmed that the 2021-2025 term is a challenging journey but also marks many important, comprehensive and long-term results. Economic growth in the period 2021-2025 averaged 6.3%/year, belonging to the group of high-growth countries in the region and the world; the quality of growth has had positive changes, development investment resources are mobilized and used more effectively; economic growth is more closely linked to ensuring progress and social justice.
National defense and security have been constantly consolidated and strengthened; foreign relations and international integration have been elevated. The Party building and rectification work has achieved many very important results; the revolution in arranging the organizational apparatus of the political system towards being lean, streamlined, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient has achieved breakthrough results.
The 14th National Congress of the Party is a political event of particularly important significance, of historical stature, marking a turning point in the country's development process. With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 14th National Congress of the Party will take place in Hanoi Capital, from January 19-25, 2026, with the participation of 1,586 delegates, representing more than 5.6 million members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The theme of the Congress is: "Under the glorious flag of the Party, joining hands, united in determination to successfully implement the country's development goals to 2030; self-reliance, confidence, and strong progress in the era of national rise, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, prosperity, civilization, happiness, steadily advancing towards socialism".
Our people are very much looking forward to the 14th Party Congress with strategic decisions for Vietnam to make strong strides in the new era, successfully implementing the country's development goals to 2030 when the Party celebrates its 100th anniversary of establishment (1930-2030); realizing the development vision to 2045, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945-2045).
