On the afternoon of November 11, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam met with 70 collectives and individuals of the forces participating in protecting security and order (ANTT) at the grassroots level, outstandingly nationwide.
Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee Phan Dinh Trac; Politburo members: Standing member of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Subcommittee Nguyen Van Nen; General Luong Tam Quang, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security. Also attending were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc.
After more than a year of operation, the forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level have promoted their core role, contributing to building a solid security posture right from the grassroots level, affirming themselves as a reliable support for the government and people in the cause of ensuring security and order.
At the meeting, outstanding individuals reported the achievements and results achieved, and proposed a number of contents on supporting vehicles, fuel vehicles when performing tasks and other regimes and policies.
Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam expressed that the forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level have promoted their role and responsibility, regularly grasping the area; providing valuable information; proactively supporting and coordinating with the Commune Police to propagate and mobilize people to voluntarily comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and promptly prevent incidents and violations of the law, contributing to keeping the people safe.
In particular, in natural disasters, floods, and fires, the image of forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level without managing danger, leaving behind difficulties of themselves and their families, together with local authorities and commune police to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, is highly appreciated by the people.
The General Secretary emphasized that grassroots security is an important part of national security. deeply realizing the special importance of this work, the Party and State have decided to establish forces to participate in security and order protection at the grassroots level, with priority comrades who are local people, have a long working process, are close to the area, are close to the people, have a firm grasp of the characteristics of the population situation, understand customs and practices; with the task of supporting the Commune-level Police in implementing all aspects of security and order protection work.
Noting that the security and order situation is increasingly complicated, the General Secretary requested the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to regularly review and fully equip support tools, create facilities for forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level to perform well their tasks, ensuring safety; on the basis of local economic conditions, gradually pay attention and support policies for forces participating in security and order at the grassroots level.
The General Secretary hopes that the forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level will continue to mobilize the people to enthusiastically implement the Party's policies, participate in preventing, detecting, and fighting against crimes, social evils, and other violations of the law; build and replicate advanced models and models in the movement of the entire people to protect national security; continue to coordinate with the police force to help the people, especially in times of danger and hardship, in natural disasters, floods, and rescue situations.
With the achievements and initial results achieved, with the attention of the Party, State, Government, Ministry of Public Security, local Party committees and authorities, the General Secretary believes that the forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level will successfully complete the assigned tasks, together with the Commune-level Police to excellently complete the task of maintaining security at the grassroots level, protecting and serving the people.
