Da Nang is entering a new stage of development with rapid urbanization, expanding the development space after consolidation and increasingly deep international integration. The locality must both preserve its traditional identity and build Da Nang people to meet the stature of a modern, smart and livable city.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung - Standing Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee - said: "Da Nang is entering a new stage of development with expanded development space after the merger, rapid urbanization, increasingly deep international integration and strong intersection between cultural regions. Identifying culture as the spiritual foundation of society, as an internal driving force for sustainable development, the city's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization sector has advised on synchronously implementing many solutions to build a system of cultural values and people of Da Nang associated with the city's development goals.
The Committee has advised to concretize Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026 of the Politburo on developing Vietnamese culture, associated with Action Program No. 54-CTr/TU of the City Party Committee.
The first highlight is to strongly innovate propaganda work in the direction of putting people at the center of development. Propaganda activities are not only limited to disseminating policies and guidelines but also focus on fostering the core values of Da Nang people such as patriotism, affection, honesty, responsibility, creativity, civilization, aspiration to contribute and spirit of integration," Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung shared.
Da Nang's Propaganda and Training sector proactively links cultural development with promoting the city's image through large-scale events such as the DIFF 2026 International Fireworks Festival, Quan The Am Festival, Ao Dai Festival... Heritage preservation is also modernized through the Project "Dat Quang Spirit - Digital Data Ecosystem on Heritage, Famous Figures and People's Culture of Dat Quang" and the Project "Changing Ways of Thinking and Doing" in ethnic minority areas in the period 2026 - 2030.
Applying digital technology, building a "soft shield" to maintain the ideological front
According to the Standing Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee, in its role as the Standing Agency of Steering Committee 35 of the City Party Committee, always determines to shift from "response" thinking to proactive identification thinking, proactive leadership and proactively creating positive information advantages in cyberspace.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung said: "One of the outstanding new points is the application of technology in information monitoring in cyberspace. The Board has proactively coordinated to put into use VnSocial social network scanning software, helping to monitor, analyze, and detect early bad and toxic information, fake news, and false information... The application of technology has helped the work of grasping information shift from passive to proactive, from handling after information spreads to early warning, contributing to improving the effectiveness of advising the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee".
The city's Propaganda and Training sector especially focuses on "building" to "fight". In which, the Project on propaganda and dissemination of positive information for the period 2026 - 2030 is being implemented to form a positive communication ecosystem.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung affirmed: "It is this positive information that has contributed to limiting the impact of false information, creating the most effective "soft shield" to firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation, consolidate the people's trust and create social consensus in the process of building and developing Da Nang city in the new period.
